With 4,000 attendees, 70 speakers and great opportunities for CPD, as well as an exhibition hall, the congress will be a great gathering of the industry. Taking place at the Manchester Central Convention Complex, the event has been described as “the embodiment of small animal veterinary medicine”.

The BSAVA Congress will feature lectures, panel discussions, interactive sessions and practical CPD workshops with recordings being made available to delegates on-demand after the event. The British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), which was founded in 1957, exists to improve the health and welfare of small animals by driving excellence in veterinary practice. With over 10,000 members, the BSAVA share knowledge and skills, as well as encouraging growth in research and collaboration.



MerlinVet is proud to support the independent charity, Vetlife, by hosting its helpline and website details across our websites including on our UK, Export, and SPS sites.

Vetlife offers free support to those experiencing emotional, health, or financial problems. Help is available throughout the veterinary community, including for nurses, students, and other staff in practices across the UK.

In 2021, Vetlife responded to 3390 enquiries, demonstrating the importance of the work they are doing. Vetlife provides support through trained volunteers, offering confidential and non-judgmental help and advice via phone and email, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Vetlife offers support to anyone with mental health difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, stress, isolation, alcohol and drug misuse, and eating disorders. Vetlife’s mental health professionals, including nurses, therapists and psychiatrists, offer advice or care management and enable those that contact to get the required help, based on previous experience of what truly works.

In terms of financial support, Vetlife provides emergency assistance, grants, access to CPD, professional debt advice, and accommodation to veterinary surgeons, nurses, and their dependants in the UK. This includes support for those needing short-term help, those that cannot work due to ill health, and other factors.
