As you may have noticed over the past few weeks, we’ve been rolling out our new logos on our websites, over our social media, and at events such as London Vet Show. We thought it would therefore make sense to make a little announcement about this – after all everyone wants to see something new and shiny!

So, without further ado, say hello to our brand new branding.

You’ll be able to see all five of our different logos for each component part of the company, alongside the MerlinVet Group logo which is used when referring to all parts of the organisation.

So you’ve probably seen that Vetcel has now rebranded as MerlinVet-cel and is now part of MerlinVet Group. But what exactly does this mean for you? Well, we have recently undergone a merger whereby MerlinVet UK and Export joined with Vetcel. The merger has proved of benefit to Vetcel and Merlin’s respective clients, providing global support to independent veterinary practices at a time when they are under considerable corporate pressure. The merger has meant better support for non-corporate vet practices in the UK and across the EU, the Far East, and the rest of the world. We made the decision to update our branding so that there is consistency across the board.

If you’ve only previously been familiar with one part of the organisation, then have a look at a short description of each part of Merlin below, as well as a link through to each’s respective website to see if you would benefit from working with us!

MerlinVet UK:

  • Import pharmaceuticals & farm fertility equipment to supply UK vets, including an extensive range of farm animal fertility equipment developed by experts.
  • Exclusive UK distributor for Lane Manufacturing, who specialise in bull fertility equipment.

MerlinVet Export:

  • Veterinary medicines, equipment & accessories supplied globally (we source and supply unique veterinary products to livestock, equine & companion animal sectors).

MerlinVet-cel:

  • Much more than just a buying group, we provide support for independent practices of all sizes across the UK, offering competitive rebates on members’ purchases and ongoing support & reduced administration costs.

MerlinSalus PAM:

  • We monitor anaesthetic exposure in your workplace safely & accurately.

MerlinSPS:

  • We offer simple subscription & health plan solutions.

New Warehouse

Here you can see the Directors of MerlinVet Group speaking with staff at the internal launch of the new site.

Our new brand is also coinciding with our imminent move to our new warehouse at Kelso in the Scottish Borders as we had outgrown our current premises at Earlston. Ifyou want a sneak peek of what the new Kelso warehouse looks like then view our drone and video fly-through below:

MerlinVet is delighted to announce our sponsorship of The University of Edinburgh’s Dick Vet Final Year Club Jackets, where our logo will be displayed on the sleeve.

With members of the Merlin Team being alumni of The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, it’s great to to be able to support final year students and have our brand associated with such a prestigious centre which is viewed as a global leader in research and teaching. We look forward to seeing the jackets in use over the coming months.

MerlinVet Group was on show at London Vet Show on 17th – 18th November at the ExCeL in London. A first outing for our new group branding, our stand attracted a steady stream of visitors across the two days, where the team had the opportunity to catch up with some familiar faces and some completely new ones.

Some of our key takeaways from London Vet Show included:

  • Brilliant place to interact with likeminded industry professionals and experts (possibly the best place for this in the UK each year)
  • Great range of CPD and talks
  • Exhibition space was well organised & enabled easy interaction with different stands when walking around
  • Opportunities for networking throughout the day were excellent
  • Simple to collect new leads through event technology

London Vet Show provided one of the first opportunities for us to showcase all 5 parts of the business together at once, as well as Relyne. We were able to talk to visitors to the stand about all aspects of the business, from our import/export side and wholesale side of operations, to our veterinary buying group, health plan solutions, and gas exposure monitoring service. You can find out a little more about each part of Merlin in the video at the bottom of this article.

We were incredibly lucky to be joined by Julian Norton from The Yorkshire Vet, alongside his wife Anne, who both answered questions from delegates around setting up a new practice.

MerlinVet’s London Vet Show Competition

Congratulations to Kelly Eyre, who won our London Vet Show competition and is the proud new owner of a Garmin Multisport GPS Watch and PitPat dog activity monitor. From the hundreds of entrants who visited our stand, the one lucky winner, drawn at random, was Kelly, who works at the Feline Healthy Ageing Clinic. Kelly, your prize is on its way!

Additional Thoughts & Key Links

London Vet Show proved, once again, to be a thoroughly worthwhile experience exhibiting; we generated many new leads and were able to showcase all 5 parts of the Group to the wider industry. Our branded water bottles, coffee flasks and tote bags proved exceptionally popular. Please tag us in any snaps with your water bottles or coffee flasks when you’re out and about – we’d love to see them getting a run out in public. Also, let us know if you’d be interested in seeing these become available in the future. It was brilliant to see so many people visiting the stand and interacting with us over the course of the event – and we look forward to replicating this in 2023. Thank you to everyone who took their team out of their day to come visit us.

We’ve collated some of the key questions that we were asked and are still being asked since London Vet Show and put them into a handy FAQ sheet. You can view the MerlinVet Group FAQ sheet here.
